I had my second born at Harrogate in 2019, I’d had my first in another hospital. What a different, more positive experience I had at Harrogate. I’d done hypnobirthing in preparation and had some birthing preferences, particularly around the ambience. I had the pleasure of using the birthing pool and my midwife (Rebecca) could not have been more supportive. She seemed to instinctively know what I needed and I couldn’t have done it without her.
In 2023 I then had my third baby, again at Harrogate. Although not as straightforward as my last birth due to blood pressure issues I felt in control, empowered and supported by my wonderful midwife (Abbie).
