I gave birth to my second child in April at Harrogate. Every aspect was stress free, calm and overall amazing.

The wait times for scans, glucose tests and blood tests were all on time and done efficiently.

The labour ward for the final hurdle was the best experience and I couldn’t have asked for any better. The staff were all so lovely, kind and considerate. My midwife Lucy, was so patient and attentive and helped me so much through the whole experience. When my baby was delivered she asked how I was going to feed , asked what brand and said she’d get milk sorted. There was absolutely no judgement, and not just the feeding choices but with every decision I made she showed understanding and no criticism which for any woman going through childbirth, a unbiased midwife is such a valuable commodity.

I can’t thank you enough for making my second birth so much more pleasant than my first.

I also had a student midwife called Becky, my baby was her first ever delivery. She did absolutely brilliant, she was so knowledgeable, patient and kind and will make a brilliant midwife. And if she is reading this, Thank you and we decided on the name Elsie.
